About

Thanks for taking a moment to check out my work. Given the enormous number of other sites you could be on, I‘m happy you‘ve landed here. Some will tell you working in advertising isn‘t exactly what you‘d call a “noble” profession. To me, nothing could be further from the truth. In this crazy industry, I‘ve been fortunate to work with some incredibly talented people and amazing brands while solving interesting marketing and business problems along the way. I‘ve met very few jerks and tried to learn something from every client. I‘ve always treated every brand I‘ve worked on the same way: like it had something to prove. In a world where consumers have infinite choices, there is really no other way to do it.

This mentality was born out of my playing tennis in college on a team of players that were significantly better than I. So much so, the other guys called me “Rudy”. (If you don‘t get the reference, go rent the movie.) Anyhow, I‘d show up to practice every day and work unbelievably hard trying to improve. Mostly though, I‘d end up helping others. I‘d hit hundreds of serves to someone who needed to work on their return. Feed balls. String racquets. And play points using tactics other schools might employ so that guys in the starting line-up would be familiar with them before our next duel match. When I finally got into the line-up my senior year, we had the biggest turnout of any match in my four years there. I never resented my role as three-year bench warmer. In fact, I‘d do it again. In some respects, I do it every day. That‘s what advertising is to me. Helping others to be their best. Aspiring to live like the underdog. What‘s so un-noble about that?
